It's been roughly a week since the Yin case was closed, and the two of them have both been dealing with the aftermath in their own ways. Tonight's way happened to include dinner, an evening movie and a stroll along the beach with ice cream.

The apartment they return to isn't the same one Juliet saw when Shawn was kidnapped - he's changed things up a bit since then. But it's still quirky and cluttered and shares its resident's unusual charm.

THE SETTING: A small, seaside business in Santa Barbara, California. The name of the business has been painted on the window. It reads, "Psych: Private Psychic Detective."

Inside, one Burton Guster -- who goes by the name Gus -- is adjusting the volume on the TV, moving from behind the desk to settle on an armchair.

"...Beautiful Santa Barbara, California, is the backdrop for this afternoon's coverage of the American Spelling Bee! Held at the..."

ENTER: Our protagonist and hero, Shawn Spencer!

"What are you watching?"

Gus quickly flips off the TV.

"Nothing."

"Dude, is--is that Korean porn? Come on, man!"

"It's the regional finals of the American... Spelling Bee," Gus admits.

Pause.

"What?"

"Don't mock me! It's a huge event!"

"No, I'm just... shocked you didn't take the whole day off," Shawn snickers.
